SSEAYP stands for Ship for South East Asian Youth Program, which began in 1974. Participants are youths aged from 18 to 30 years, from South East Asian nations and Japan. The aim of SSEAYP is to foster friendship and greater understanding among youths from Japan and ASEAN. It also seeks to broaden their international outlook.
